November Faves

I’m a few days late with this post, but I’m back with my November faves! Now that it’s officially freezing out, I’ve added in some of my faves for the colder months. Here are my recommendations and November favorites!

Bondi Sands Tanning Foam Ultra DarkBondi Sands Tanning Foam Ultra Dark– I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll mention it again. This is by far the best tanning product I have ever used! It is the perfect shade and streak free. It’s perfect for the winter when you need a little color!

Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil– I haven’t experimented enough with coconut oil to know if one brand is better than another, but I do know this stuff is great. Coconut oil has a variety of different health benefits and can be used for many different purposes. Personally, I love using this once a week to deep condition my hair. My hair gets quite dry and brittle and this really livens it up!

PYT Ceramic Styling Tool– After going through countless amounts of straightening irons, I decided to invest in a good one. I’ve had this straightening iron for about 3 or 4 years now and it hasn’t let me down. It takes about 10 minutes with this iron to make my waves sleek and straight

Grace Antioxidant Organic Facial Toner– I wanted to bring my skin care routine up a notch and decided to buy this product because I heard an antioxidant toner is great for your skin. Although I haven’t noticed much of a difference in my skin, I do find the spray very refreshing and it also works as a nice setting spray! I have been having issues with dry skin and while it does not help much, it is temporarily relieving. Not to mention it’s organic and not to harsh on the skin, plus a reasonable price!

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara– This mascara is a fave of mine and beats any high end mascara I’ve ever used. This mascara really lengthens  your lashes and overall is a must have considering its price.

Hoodies– Hoodies are a staple when the weather begins to get colder. I’ve been obsessed with buying hoodies lately because they’re so comfortable and cute and come in so many styles and cuts. I linked one of my favorite new hoodies I bought recently from Lulu’s.

Jeans– Like hoodies, jeans are a staple. They help polish any outfit. Jeans with a cute sweater is a perfect look for when the weather is cold. It’s comfortable, but still cute. And just like hoodies, jeans come in various styles. Colored jeans, boyfriend jeans, ripped jeans, etc can all bring a complete different look. Jeans are so versatile and a closet staple. My favorite place to buy jeans is PacSun.

Workout leggings– As someone who goes from the gym, to class, cute workout leggings are a must. Victoria’s Secret and Nike have some of my favorite athletic leggings, but you can also find cute workout leggings for less at stores like Forever 21.

Riding boots– Riding boots are another step in my winter closet. I wear riding boots constantly. Invest in one black pair and nice brown pair and you’re set for all outfits! Charlotte Russe is a great place to buy shoes.

Booties– Booties are cute and look great with any outfit. I like to switch out my riding boots sometimes for my booties just because they add a different look.

Rings– I love accessorizing with funky rings. I think they just add a more stylish element to a simple outfit and overall just look super cute!

David Dobrik– I’ve been really into watching David Dobrik’s vlogs lately. They’re just so entertaining and honestly slightly addicting. They make me wish I had a friend group that exciting!

Animal’s People– I recently read the book Animal’s People for a class I take in school, and this was one of the few books I’ve ever read for a class that I actually enjoyed. It was a fun read and really eye-opening. I highly recommend it.

Shameless– I’ve been hooked on Shameless since I started watching my freshman year of high school. The new season has begun and I couldn’t be happier. Shameless is on Netflix now so if you haven’t watched it yet, there is no excuse.

May Favorites

May is over and summer has officially begun! I’m excited to discuss my favorites for this month with all of you because I’ve got a lot. Also, I linked all of the products if you are interested in checking any of these out!

  1. Hawaiian Topic Dark Tanning Oil– okay, I know a lot of people flip when I say I like to use tanning oil, but I think tanning oil is great when used safely. At the start of summer, I love to use a bit of tanning oil on my body and soak in the sun for about an hour or two just to start my summer tan. This tanning oil is great because I darken so fast without burning and get that summer tan in no time without spending an excessive amount of time outside baking my skin. It’s perfect to use at the start of summer.
  2. Sephora Pearl Face Mask– this face mask is great for brightening the skin. I love using the Sephora face masks in general because they aren’t too expensive and are perfect for a little spa day. They make my skin feel much cleaner and fresh.
  3. Smith’s Rosebud Salve– I talked about this in my last favorites post and I will keep talking about it because it is 100% my holy grail of lip moisturizers. My lips get so dry and I swear this is the only product that helps. Not to mention one little jar lasts a lifetime.
  4. Mally Face Defender BB Cream Foundation– I’ve been loving this BB cream because it’s so light and perfect for summer. It also is great for my acne prone skin and doesn’t clog my pores. I currently wear the color medium light, but will probably go up a shade as I get tanner.
  5. Mally Poreless Perfecion Glowing Foundation– I use this product on top of my BB cream and together makes the perfect result. This powder alone is not quite enough coverage for me, but it really ratifies my face without looking cake-y. I find it to be the perfect powder for sealing in my foundation and eliminating an oily T-zone. I wear this in light.
  6. Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer (Tiki)– I use this bronzer in the shade Tiki and it works as the perfect highlight for summer. Since it’s actually a bronzer, the shade is perfect to highlight my summer glow. It’s dark to add a bit of color, but is so illuminating that it really brightens my face. It’s also great to use as a bronze eyeshadow. Overall, it’s a very versatile product that can be used on a wide range of complexions.
  7. IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette– This palette has been perfect for adding color to my face. Honestly, I haven’t really used the powder since I’m so obsessed with my one by Mally, but I love the bronzer and the blush. The bronzer is the perfect dark shade to contour and the blush is bright and natural looking and adds the perfect flush of color. The palette is a bit pricey, but worth it.

  1. Tee Shirts– As boring as this sounds, I’ve been enjoying wearing just plain old oversized tee shirts lately. I really like to be comfortable, especially when it’s so hot and sweaty out. Still, I think big tee shirts are extremely cute paired with some cute sneakers and high waisted shorts. Cute, casual, and comfortable. (BTW I linked a cute one for you to check out!) IMG_2803.JPG
  2. Twist-Front Crop Top– This has been one of my favorite pieces to wear lately because it is such a cute little top, and so versatile! I wear it with jeans and sneakers, or I’ll pair it with some high waisted shorts and sandals. I also love to dress it up a little by pairing it with my corduroy skirt and a denim jacket. IMG_2895.JPG
  3. Bralettes Bralettes are the best for summer because they aren’t as restricting as a regular bra and go perfect under cutoff tanks and backless tops. I might be biased since I used to work there, but my favorite place to buy bralettes is definitely Aerie. IMG_2904.JPG
  4. Sneakers– I love wearing sneakers when it’s still a bit breezy out. I also find them way more comfortable for walking on the boardwalk than flip flops because there is no toe chafing! I particularly love my Adidas, Converse, and Vans even though they’ve all gotten super run down because I wear them so often!IMG_2907.JPG
  5. Open Cardigans and Tanks– Since it’s still a little chilly some days, I like to wear loose sweaters and cardigans on top of my tank tops. Layering is perfect when the weather is still constantly fluctuating.IMG_2733.JPG

  1. Big Little Lies– I just started watching this show so I’m not very far in, but I’m already hooked. Also, I want to note how awesome this cast is. I definitely recommend.
  2. 13 Reasons Why Who isn’t talking about this show?? I wanted to see what all of the hype was about so I decided to check it out. I’m definitely not as obsessed with the show as some people are and I do think the show has its flaws, but it’s still an intriguing show. Plus, Clay Jenson is the cutest creature to ever walk the earth.
  3. Invisible Monsters– I started reading this before and got sidetracked with school and never was able to finish, so i started again. I was obsessed with this book from the start. Chuck Palahniuk never disappoints.
  4. Empire of the Sun– I just discussed this band in my last post because I was lucky enough to see them live, but I decided they were worth mentioning again. Swordfish Hotkiss Night is the ultimate jam.
  5. The Killers– I’m so excited because I get to see one of my favorite bands perform in a few weeks!! I’m so excited that I’ve been nonstop blasting the Killers ever since I bought the tickets (aka like 3 months ago).
  6. Poshmark– One of my favorite apps, Postmark allows me to sell clothes I no longer wear and buy clothes from others for affordable prices. I use Postmark constantly and find it a great way to earn some extra spending money. Check out my closet!
  7. Duolingo– I really want to brush up on my Italian and this app lets me practice and overall is really effective. Not to mention, it’s free!
  8. MyFitnessPal– I’ve been really trying to eat healthier and this app is one I always go back to. I’m able to keep track of what I eat and check my calories. It also breaks down the nutrition so I can see how much protein, carbs, etc. that I’ve consumed. This app also allows you to set goals. For example, you’re goal might be to lose .5 pounds each week. The app tells you how many calories and such you should consume to achieve this goal.
  9. That Poppy– I’ve been really addicted to Poppy lately and I can’t tell if I like it or not. Her music is awesome no doubt, Lowlife is a great song for the summer. Her channel; however, is a bit strange, yet I can’t stop watching?? Her vids are definitely a bit odd and I wish she were to give a meaning for it all, but I’m definitely hooked and can’t stop watching.
  10. Sarah Baska– I discovered Sarah last summer and I’ve loved her ever since. I’ve been catching up on her videos lately now that classes are done for the summer and I can’t stop watching. She’s absolutely hilarious and her videos never fail to make me laugh.

  1. DIY Trail Mix– Lately, I’ve been snacking on trail mix that I create myself with whatever I have in the house. I try to keep it as healthy as possible by mixing together some cashews, dried cranberries, dark chocolate, and pretzels. It makes the perfect snack to munch on.
  2. Bananas and Peanut Butter– Bananas and peanut butter are a perfect combination and a great snack. I love eating this if I want a quick snack before bed or sometimes even for breakfast. I also like making peanut butter and banana sandwiches for lunch because basically I’m obsessed with this combination. 10/10 would recommend.

Hope you all enjoyed your month of May and found something in this article worth checking out! Everything is linked!

July Faves

July is over and we’re on to our final month of summer! For once in my life I’m actually excited for summer to end because I get to start college and I’m so beyond excited! But anyways, since it’s August I felt I should do a July faves post since I haven’t done a favorites post in awhile. I would like to apologize in advance that I have not been able to get my camera to focus so these pictures are either blurry, taken from my iPhone, or taken from the internet. Sorry for that! I have a Canon Rebel.. T3i I believe? If anyone knows what the problem could be please let me know!

Okay, let’s begin with my favorite beauty products. Since it’s summer I, like most people, have been going for a more natural look. Instead of wearing winged eyeliner, or eyeliner at all, I only use eyeshadow. Usually I’ll use the shade darkhorse from my naked palette and line my upper and lower lash line. As my eyeshadow base, I use a NYX jumbo eye pencil in the color yogurt. I find the smudged eyeshadow look to not only be more natural, but a lot easier to accomplish. It doesn’t have to be as precise as a liquid or gel liner which saves a ton of time. Of course, I finish this look off with mascara.

Recently, I purchased a beauty blender. I honestly have no idea how I’ve gone so long without one of these things. This makes applying foundation and concealer 10000x easier and I’ve never found something that blends makeup into my skin so well. For those of you who don’t know what a beauty blender is, it’s an egg shaped sponge that is used instead of a makeup brush to blend in your makeup. I bought mine at Sephora for $18, but you can find cheaper alternatives at your local drugstore.

When I bought this beauty blender, I also bought a few Sephora face masks. I bought two face masks and an eye mask. For the face masks, I bought Pearl and Green Tea. I felt these would be a good idea since I’ve been having a lot of problems with breakouts recently. I’m not going to lie, they haven’t helped with breakouts, but they do make my skin feel smooth and refreshed. This isn’t an amazing product, but it’s nice for relaxation. I also bought the pearl eye mask which also didn’t really give any results, but still just gives a pleasant feeling.

Like I said, I’ve been dealing with bad breakouts. Not only on my face, but on my body as well. I swear by Neutrogena Body Clear body wash to get rid of body acne. Warning: it really dries out your skin so make sure to either apply a thick body cream afterwards, or use this maybe every other day or only a few times a week.

Okay, onto fashion!

I’m really lazy in the summer and never feel like getting dressed. Finding shirts and pants that match is too much effort. That’s why in the summer, I live in rompers!

This romper I especially love because it looks like a top tucked into high waisted shorts, but it’s really just one piece! I bought this from Joyce Leslies, but other great places to buy inexpensive rompers include Forever 21 and Rue 21. I especially have a hard time finding rompers that fit me because I’m very petite and the shorts always end up being too long on me, but Rue 21 I believe has the best rompers for short people, so all fellow short girls, check it out!

One of the biggest trends right now thanks to fashion icons like Vanessa Hudgens and big music festivals like Coachella, is the boho style.

Okay, movies and television shows.

If you haven’t watched OITNB yet, what are you doing with your life. Seriously. Ruby Rose is SO hot and this season was utter chaos. Get on that.

Under the Dome finally came back and I’m so happy because I’ve missed it so much! I was so painfully addicted last season. This season has been weak so far, but Alexander Koch is so hot that I just don’t care.

As for movies, this month I’ve seen The Gallows, Inside Out, and Jurassic World and all three were amazing!

Let’s start with The Gallows- so I’ve heard mixed reviews about this movie. I’ve heard it was stupid and not at all scary, and then I’ve also heard it was terrifying. I don’t think it was either. I wasn’t scared out of my mind watching this movie, but it definitely did keep me on the edge of my seat. I thought it had a unique plot compared to other scary movies and I genuinely liked it. Scary movies these days are pretty lame, and it’s one of the few I would actually watch again. Plus, it’s a great date night movie! I’d give it 4 stars!

Inside Out was SO SO SO CUTE! I loved everything about it. 5 stars!

I feel like everyone has had to have seen Jurassic World at this point. If you haven’t, yes it is as awesome as everyone says it is and yes you need to go see it. Plus, Chris Pratt is a total babe. I’ll give it 4.5 stars.

As for books, I’ve read two books this month (yes I have a lot of free time lately). The first book was Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk and this book, my God this book. Easily one of the best books I’ve ever read… although I feel like I say that about every book I read. If you’ve never heard of this book, I’ll give you a brief overview.

Basically, it’s a group of people trapped in a house on a writers retreat where they are supposed to work on writing a story. The book goes from being a chapter of what’s going on inside the house, to being a poem about one of the characters, to being a short story based on that character. The story is so twisted and creepy. I highly recommend this book.

The second book I read is Looking for Alaska. Another phenomenal book! I wanted to see what all the John Green hype was about and Fault in Our Stars didn’t seem like something I’d be that interested in, but I’ve heard Looking for Alaska is another great one he has written. I really hope they make this book into a movie as well. Personally, I feel like I could identify with all the characters in one way or another and I really loved that. Finally, I get the John Green hype.

As for my music obsessions, I’m gonna keep this short. I’ve recently rediscovered my love for the Veronicas, a group consisting of two Australian sisters. Their newest album came out quite some time ago, but I just found it. My favorite from the newest album, The Veronicas, is “You Ruin Me.”

I’ve also been really into the Naked and Famous. I’ve been especially obsessed with the song “The Mess.” I like songs that I feel relate to my life at the moment, and this is one of them.

Alright, one more random favorite. I doubt anyone cares, but I love it so much that I had to throw it in here. White cheddar popcorn. OMG! It’s heaven.

Oh wait and another great snack- White Chocolate Macadamia Luna Bars. SOOOOO GOOD!

Okay, that’s it! Hope you enjoyed!

April Favorites

April is coming to an end.. so you know what that means!

download (3)

Haha sorry! Couldn’t miss out on my one chance a year to use that meme! Anyways, I’ve never done a monthly favorites blog post before, so I figured today would be a good day to do my first! Here are my favorites for April.

  • This month I have really been obsessed with winged eyeliner. I know that this trend isn’t anything new, but for me it kind of is. I never was really into it, but I bought NYX’s Super Skinny Marker which makes it much easier to create a perfect wing. I’ve already gone through two of these markers! If you’re interested in purchasing any of the products mentioned, I will link them all below.
  • BB Cream is something else I’ve been obsessed with.. actually for quite awhile now. I don’t like wearing foundation because I find it to be too heavy and personally, I don’t think I need that much coverage. I used to use Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer, but decided to look for a cheaper alternative. Maybelline’s BB Cream is absolutely great! I buy the one with the blue cap because it has salicylic acid in it to help fight against pimples. I know a lot of people prefer wearing lighter foundations in the spring/summer, and this is one I’d definitely recommend.
  • One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to tan! I love lying out in my backyard and soaking up the sun. I use Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil. I don’t recommend this for people who burn easier. Remember to be safe and use this sparingly!
  • My breakouts lately have been unreal. Every night I use Clearasil Daily Clear Hydra-Blast pads. I use one pad and run it over my breakouts and it’s actually fairly effective. Now it doesn’t work overnight, you definitely have to keep up with it. But it does help to dry out pimples.
  • Organix has become my new favorite shampoo/conditioner. There are many different types to suit all different hair textures. Currently, I’m using.the Weightless Hydration Coconut Water and not only does it really work to add moisture to my hair after being in the sun all day, but it smells amazing!

  • Okay, so the other day I got home from school and went up to my bedroom to see these adorable Dogue socks lying on my bed. I asked my mom why she gave them to me and she replied “you mean they aren’t yours?” I was disappointed. I was hoping she had bought them for me or something because she had secretly known my love for Dogue. It turns out, the socks belong to my brother. But he ended up not wanting them anymore and said I could have them! Aren’t they adorable?!

  • It’s spring time which means it’s time to break out the floral dresses! Here is one of my favorites that I bought from Plato’s Closet, but you can find dresses like this almost anywhere!

  • Life update: I have recently committed to Rutgers University!!!! I went recently to an admitted students day event and bought a ton of Rutgers apparel! Here is a super cute sweatshirt I’ve been wearing all the time!295
  • Oxfords have got to be my favorite type of shoe. I love the vintage-y vibe they give off. I own three pairs- one black, one tan, and one black with cats on them. I’ve been wearing my black ones the most lately because they seem to match the best with my outfits. I love pairing them with circle skirts, pencil skirts, and jeans! They add a nice, polished vibe to a casual outfit. A great place to purchase oxfords would be Urban Outfitters.

  • I definitely use Netflix to my advantage and have been watching some of my favorite sitcoms such as The Office and Friends. These are both shows I’ve seen before, but now I’m able to maximize my obsession and watch every episode ever– about eight times.
  • Game of Thrones– I’m definitely late on this boat and I’m still on season one, but I’ve been really into it. It’s a bit more graphic than any other shows I watch, but it’s just so crazy that I can’t stop watching!
  • I used to be really obsessed with a Canadian show called Degrassi. If you’re a teenager reading this, I’m sure you’ve heard of it before. It’s a fairly popular show. Now I think we can all agree it’s not nearly as good as it used to be. It’s kind of all over the place, all the characters have dated each other, and every possible story line has already been done. So, I stopped watching. Recently a new Canadian show. Open Heart, was created with some people who are/have been on Degrassi and includes the same writers so I decided to give it a try since Degrassi used to be good and I have to say, I’m quite impressed! It’s a lot different from Degrassi since it’s got a solid story line that will have a start and finish. It’s about a girl trying to find her missing father. I’m completely hooked!
  • Spoiled is a cute story written by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. It’s about a girl named Molly who’s mother dies and she is forced to move to Hollywood to live with her movie star father and evil half sister, Brooke Berlin. It’s a cute book that’s a short, easy read. It’s followed by another book called Messy which is in the point-of-view of Molly’s best friend, Max, whom is trying to save up enough money for a summer writing class at NYU and takes a job from Brooke requiring her to pretend to be her and create blog posts that make her seem witty and intellectual- that will hopefully get her to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a successful actress. Okay, so I did a bad job describing the plot of these stories, but basically if your looking for an easy read, these books are it.

  • QUAD is an app that allows you to join group chats with random people based on specific interests. I downloaded it to try and meet people from Rutgers that I will be going to school with next year, but you can also join chats that have themes like The Office or ones as random as Smoothie Recipes. It’s a great way to meet people and to discuss things you take an interest in! The chats hold up to 500 people and you can mute them if they’re becoming too rowdy.
  • Timehop is another thing I’m late on. I was never able to use it because I’ve had my Facebook deactivated for so long, but I recently reactivated and created a Timehop. It’s pretty funny to see things I posted five years ago.. but it’s also extremely cringeworthy.
  • I LOVE yoga and I especially love being able to do it in the comfort of my own home. Bad Yogi is something I discovered a little while ago and I love it. It’s a website and a YouTube channel run by Erin Motz who has got to be the best online yoga instructor ever. Here’s a link to the website! I highly recommend checking it out.

What Makes A “Bad Yogi”?

Glee Season 6- Recap and Opinions

Last night was the final season premiere for Fox’s hit television show Glee. As someone who’s been watching the show from the very beginning, this brought in some mixed emotions. On one hand, I’m bummed that this show that was once my obsession is ending, but on another, it’s definitely time for the show to end. The first three seasons were incredible and I couldn’t help but get addicted. I loved the original cast and the old, self-absorbed Rachel Berry. Then season four came along, bringing along the new glee club and tossing away the old and I wasn’t as interested. Still, a few of my favorite characters still remained like Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Sam, and a couple others. Not to mention, I really started to love the new characters like Jake, Marley, Ryder, and Kitty! Still, it was undeniable that the show just wasn’t as good as it used to be. Then season 5 came along, and at that point I felt like watching was more of an obligation than something I want to do. Now it’s season 6 and here are my thoughts on the premiere. Warning: spoilers!

Rachel Berry is back to where she started. She’s at the glee club in Lima, Ohio. I like the fact that the final season will be taking place back to where it started. I wasn’t a fan when they completely cut off the glee club storyline mid season five. But anyways, Rachel’s TV show, That So Rachel, I thought was really funny. The characters on the show were based off of the characters on Glee. Unfortunately, Rachel’s show tanked, ruining her image. Although we all root for Rachel Berry, I’m glad she’s back in her hometown because I’m sure the season will end with her back on Broadway, where she belongs.

Now I would like to take a minute to appreciate Lea Michele’s voice because my God, her vocals never fail to amaze me. “Uninvited” by Alanis Morissette is what the show opened with and she killed it. Another song I really liked was “Suddenly Seymour”, a duet between Rachel and Blaine. I definitely think that’s a challenging song to cover, but they did it justice. But ugh. Blaine, Blaine, Blaine.

Blaine and Kurt broke up, once again. Honestly at this point I don’t even care. They have broken up and gotten back together way too many times and I thought they were finally done with that. Then when I found out they broke off their engagement, maybe that’s just it for them. But obviously, it’s not. Kurt is still very much in love with Blaine, but Blaine has moved on… to Karofsky. I never saw that one coming and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. I mean, Karofsky? It was a great idea on the writer’s part, such a huge plot twist. But we all know that Blaine and Karofsky could never work out. But can Kurt and Blaine?

Rachel successfully brings back the glee club despite Sue Sylvestor’s vigorous attempts to get rid of it for good. Of course she had thought she succeeded, but the glee club will never die! The old glee club returned in this episode which made me very happy. Quinn, Brittany, and Santana performed “Problem” by Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea and it was probably my favorite performance of the night. I absolutely love the Unholy Trinity! Their performance helped recruit two newbies for the Glee club, but I’ll get into that later.

Kitty Wilde, one of the newbies from season four, appeared in this episode and informed us that Sue made all of the glee members transfer. This made me really upset. It took time for the new members to grow on me, and once they finally did, they’re all gone? These members were taken out of the glee club (and show) without any sort of fight or anything. Their storylines were never even completed!! Did Jake and Marley every work things out? What about Ryder and Unique? I really liked these characters and now they’re just gone and they’re forming a whole new glee club, for a third time! The members recruited so far are super talented, but I don’t want to have to get to know all of these new characters for only one season! Instead I’d rather the old members come back and finish their storylines. Is that too much to ask?

However, I don’t know for a fact that they won’t be returning so for now I’m just going to keep my fingers crossed. At the very least, I hope Kitty rejoins the glee club and becomes a regular cast member again. I also hope that more of the older cast members stay on as regulars. Especially Puck and Quinn. They’re my faves.

So although I’m not a fan of completely rebuilding the glee club, the members they have so far are pretty damn good. I really like Roderick because he fits the whole “unique” perspective that makes up Glee. He auditioned with the song “Mustang Sally” and he’s undeniably amazing. Jane is another newbie who is bringing a lot of drama to the show between the Warblers, and New Directions, but also Blaine, Kurt, and Rachel.

Spencer is the gay football player who is being bribed by Sue to spy on the glee club. Hm, some things never change. The final two members are Mason and Madison. Two super preppy cheerleaders who remind me a little bit of Sharpay and Ryan from High School Musical.

That’s basically it for the premiere. Hopefully next week we’ll see a little bit more of Mr. Schue’s adorable baby!! And maybe even Emma? One thing I know for sure- we get a Brittana proposal next week! Can’t wait!!

So I am beyond upset because I just spent over an hour writing a review on this weeks Awkward and then I lost it. Now it’s almost 12 in the morning, and I’m exhausted. Therefore I’m going to make this short and sweet.

I was shocked to see that Jenna was the one who revealed her blog to the public. She clearly didn’t think it through and didn’t see how much it could hurt others. Especially, her mom. Although I am a huge fan of Lacey, she did without a doubt deserve the hate. Now she could experience how Jenna felt when she received the letter. Plus, maybe this is what was needed for Jenna for finally forgive her mom and become close with her again.

I was glad to see Lacey and Kevin back together. Jenna obviously wanted her parents back together, and quite frankly, so do I! Hopefully this means they’re back together for good. I really wasn’t expecting them to get back together, at least not for a long time. I originally thought Ben was going to be the one in the shower with Lacey, and I was surprised to see Kevin. I also want to hear more about how Kevin wasn’t always there in the past. I think that would make a great storyline.

The Julie’s in this episode were hilarious! The whole “Team Matty” and “Team Jake” bit cracked me up! This was a great addition to the episode and definitely brought out some laughs!

So this brings us to everyone’s favorite part of the show. Matty and Jake! I was so glad to see that they rekindled their friendship. Their bromance is definitely one of my favorites and I hated seeing them fighting over Jenna. Personally, I think they’re both too good for Jenna. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jenna, but the way she went from dating Matty to Matty’s best friend was cruel and just not right. She doesn’t deserve either of them.

However, since the show basically revolves around this storyline, I am team Matty. I don’t know why, but I don’t like Jake that much, which is surprising since he is such a fan favorite. He’s such a sweet guy and liked Jenna from the start, but for some reason, I don’t like him.

So I will tell you why I am team Matty. First off, Matty’s a lot cuter. (Sigh! Matty McKibben!) On top of that, I think he used to be a player until Jenna came along, and that is how you know he really likes her. Jenna is the girl who tamed the player. It’s unfortunate Matty didn’t get the girl (at least not yet) but at this point, he is deserving. He definitely learned his lesson and Jenna is exactly what he needs.

These are my thoughts on this weeks episode, what are yours?
